Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Napa Hit-and-Run Crash at Lincoln and Yajome
NAPA, CA (June 30, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Lincoln Avenue and Yajome Street in Napa.
According to an article published by The Napa Valley Register, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:30 p.m.
Napa police said the incident happened on June 29 when a vehicle struck a male motorcycle rider. The two crashed at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Yajome Street.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist left wounded in the roadway. He sustained a severe cut to his right hand and road rash as a result of the collision.
Motorcycle Rider Hit by Vehicle
Medical personnel rushed the victim to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. His name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver abandoned their vehicle on Yajome and Paul Avenue after hitting the victim. He ran eastbound on Central Avenue.
Officers soon located and arrested him on suspicion of causing injury by DUI and leaving the scene of an injury accident. The Napa hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Authorities forced the area of Lincoln Avenue and Yajome Street to close following the collision.
