Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run at Jefferson and H Streets
NAPA (December 18, 2018) – An alleged hit-and-run driver was arrested after seriously injuring a pedestrian in the area of Jefferson and H streets last month, November 5, according to Napa Valley Register.
The suspect has been identified as 75-year-old Roger Vaughn Meuter, of St. Helena.
As per the article, officials said Meuter was driving east on H Street when he turned left on Jefferson Street and his car struck the pedestrian.
The victim was in the crosswalk when they were hit by the vehicle at about 11 a.m.

Officers affirmed that the pedestrian was left in pain and suffering from unspecified visible injuries as a result of the crash.
The patient was then transported to the hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the wounded party at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, Meuter did not stop after the incident and fled the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.
He was arrested at his home on Monday, December 17, at around 1:30 p.m. but posted bond and was out of jail by 4 p.m. on the same day. The investigation is ongoing.
