Pedestrian Sustains Major Internal Injuries
NAPA, CALIFORNIA (March 30, 2016) – An elderly woman suffered major injures after being struck by a vehicle at Linda Vista Avenue and Culpepper Street Monday evening, according to the Napa Valley Register.
The accident happened at around 7:49 p.m.
Preliminary report stated that a 78-year-old woman was walking her three dogs around the area when suddenly, she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The force from the impact downed the elderly and caused her injuries.
She was immediately rescued by the paramedics and transported to Queen Valley Medical Center. There, she was diagnosed to have sustained major internal injuries.
She was then transferred by air ambulance to a regional trauma center where she was listed and remained in critical condition, as mentioned in the article.
Other casualties were two of the elderly’s dogs killed from the smash.
On the other hand, the 73-year-old motorist involved in the crash stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Investigation on the case is on going.
