Hit-and-Run Driver Fatally Strikes 2 Women Near Alum Rock Middle School
San Jose, CA (April 12, 2022) – Narinder Kaur, and Kuljit Kaur both died following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Ocala Avenue and Oakton Court.
The NBC Bay Area News published an article online reporting two women walking across a marked crosswalk at the intersection. For reasons still unclear, an oncoming vehicle struck the two pedestrians. The catastrophic incident took place Thursday at about 6:30 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in San Jose
When emergency crews arrived in the area near Alum Rock Middle School, they found the two pedestrians unconscious. Authorities later confirmed both parties sadly succumbed to their injuries and died at the hospital. The Medical Examiner confirmed the identities of the fatal victims as 75-year-old Narinder Kaur, and 53-year-old Kuljit Kaur.
Meanwhile, officers said the motorist involved in the unfortunate event fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident at Ocala Avenue and Oakton Court.
