Woman, 50, Identified as Victim in Hit-and-Run
DATE OF COLLISION: Friday, December 28th
January 2, 2018- According to ABC News, Natalie Wood, 50, has been identified as the woman fatally injured following a hit-and-run collision last week on Friday.
Merced authorities responded to the site of the incident which occurred at around 6:00 p.m. at G and 18th streets.
Police officials say that Wood had been riding her bicycle across the intersection upon being struck whose driver failed to stop and proceeded to flee the scene.
Wood sadly was sadly pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of the fire department and paramedics due to serious trauma injuries.
Suspect Remains At-Large
At this time, the suspect remains at-large as no arrests have been made.
Those who were friends with Wood stated that she was very quiet but kind and caring.
Merced police officials have observed surveillance footage from the intersection and have released a description of the vehicle believed to be a gold or tan colored Toyota Corolla between the years 1998 and 2000.
