Natasha Whittinghill, 47, ID’d as Suspect in Santa Rosa DUI Crash
SANTA ROSA, CA (May 21, 2023) – Authorities detained Natasha Whittinghill after a DUI crash on Beaumont Way in Santa Rosa.
Police determined that the 47-year-old Santa Rosa woman was under the influence of alcohol when the collision occurred on Saturday.
The incident began when Natasha Whittinghill was driving a grey Tesla from Montecito Boulevard, across the intersection with Calistoga Road, in Santa Rosa.
She continued towards Beaumont Way where her car jumped up onto the sidewalk and clipped trees. The Tesla shoved bushes across the yard, plowed through the fence and into the wall of a house.
Lori Johnson, 57, Injured in Collision
Police said the car struck the 3-bedroom home in the 5200 block of Beaumont Way. The Press Democrat and NBC Bay Area wrote that the wreck took place on May 20 at around 12:50 a.m.
Lori Johnson, 57, was sitting on a sectional couch inside the residence when it was hit by the Tesla. The Santa Rosa woman sustained multiple cuts and bruises as a result of the accident.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police arrested Natasha Whittinghill on suspicion of felony DUI that caused injury.
Officers soon booked her into Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. The suspect, the wife of the Sonoma County sheriff, posted bail following the collision.
The Santa Rosa DUI crash is still under investigation.
