Motorcycle Rider Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision on State Route 74
HEMET, Calif. (Sept. 25, 2023) — Nathan Wineinger, 22, of Hemet, died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 74, just west of Cortrite Avenue in Hemet.
The deadly crash occurred on the westbound State Route 74 around 10:55 p.m. on Sept. 24th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The young man was riding on a white BMW motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with another motorist, the CHP reports. The report stated that one of the vehicles may have rear-ended the other one. The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike and into the eastbound lanes of Highway 74, police said. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, police requested a road closure for the westbound lanes of State Route 74 at Cortrite Avenue and the eastbound No. 1 and turn lane of SR-74 at Vincent.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal motorcycle crash.
