Nathaniel Machadov, 24, Suspect in Buena Park Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
BUENA PARK, CA (August 20, 2021) – Authorities detained Nathaniel Machadov after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Buena Park.
Police identified the 24-year-old Anaheim man as the suspect in the collision which took place on Saturday, August 14.
The incident began when Nathaniel Machadov was driving a red Chevrolet pickup west on Auto Center Drive in Buena Park. At the same time, a red Jaguar was going south on Western Avenue.
Buena Park police said Nathaniel Machadov then ran a red light at the intersection and struck the Jaguar. KTLA News and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred at about 6:40 p.m.
The driver of the Jaguar, 58-year-old Buena Park resident Keith Alan, died at the scene of the crash. His wife, Tami Alan, sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck.

Paramedics rushed her to a hospital and listed her in critical condition. Meanwhile, police affirmed that Nathaniel Machadov and his passengers abandoned their car and fled on foot.
Officers soon located and arrested Nathaniel Machado on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run with permanent and serious injury, both felonies.
They also charged him with felony reckless driving causing injury to a person other than the driver.
The suspect faces sentencing enhancements for fleeing the scene of a vehicular manslaughter and inflicting great bodily injury on the victim. Records showed that he pleaded not guilty.
The Buena Park hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to help the family of the victims. Anyone with information can call the police at 714-562-3941.
