PERRIS, California — According to an article by Press Enterprise, 70-year-old Natividad Diaz was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 74 afternoon of April 4.
Paramedics arrived at the crash site near Margarth Street and pronounced Diaz dead at the scene.
Officials learned Diaz was walking west on the highway around 5:40 p.m. when he tried to cross the road to the north, and was hit by a passing vehicle. The involved driver told investigators he did not see the pedestrian before the collision happened.
Meanwhile, further investigation is underway to determine charges and liabilities on the fatal crash.
