Man Struck on 405 Freeway in Fatal Crash
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (Jan. 11, 2019) — Navid Farsi, 32, of Laguna Niguel, died Thursday night on the 405 freeway near the Brookhurst Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man’s body was seen in the freeway about 8 p.m. in the carpool lane, police said.
Two cars reportedly struck the victim and prompted a closure of three lanes. Both drivers pulled over and stopped following the collision and were questioned by police about what happened.
It’s unknown why the man was on the freeway, however, an abandoned Toyota Prius was found on the center divider and it may have belonged to him.
Orange County Accident Investigation
Police are reviewing the facts of this accident and will determine liability.
