Nealson Carlos Hanner, 32, Fatal Victim in Collision Near 7th Standard Road
Buttonwillow, CA (September 9, 2021) – Nealson Carlos Hanner, a 32-year-old man, died following a car crash that occurred on Interstate 5 on September 7, Tuesday.
The Bakersfield Now News reported the wreck involved two vehicles.
Preliminary investigation revealed Nealson Hanner was behind the wheel of a Dodge Ram pickup. For an unknown reason, the Dodge slammed into the back of a Toyota Tacoma traveling in the slow lane of the highway. Officials said the collision took place in the area near 7th Standard Road in Buttonwillow.

Shortly after 7:20 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. First responders found the Dodge Ram pickup overturned. Per article published online, Nealson Hanner was ejected during the collision. Paramedics sadly pronounced the driver dead.
The California Highway Patrol group said the driver of the Toyota received treatment and subsequently released from the scene.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal car crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Bakersfield.
