NEEDLES, California (July 1, 2016) — Two people were airlifted to hospitals after being injured in a head-on crash Friday morning on southbound Highway 95, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash took place about 7:01 a.m. this morning between a silver Nissan and a black Toyota. One person was pinned in a vehicle following the crash and required extrication by firefighters arriving at the scene.
The road was closed down to land two helicopters to take a man injured to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A female driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
The crash is under investigation by police to determine liability.
