NEVADA CITY, California (November 16, 2016) — At least one person was injured Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway at the Blue Canyon Road off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The collision took place about 7:08 a.m. between a red Ford SUV and a black sedan near the Blue Canyon-Nyack Airport. One of the vehicles crashed into a tree and a The red SUV’s driver was pinned inside with injuries. The black car slammed into a tree and both vehicles overturned.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured in the crash. Police were also at the scene to help and investigate the cause and liability.
