1 Seriously Injured in Nevada City Crash on Westbound Highway 20
NEVADA CITY, CA (July 5, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 20 in Nevada City.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:25 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Nevada City. They crashed on westbound Highway 20, west of Lake Spaulding Road.

The incident log described the cars involved as a gray 2017 Toyota Prius and a white Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then found a male occupant of the Dodge unconscious as a result of the collision. An air ambulance took one patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound and eastbound lanes of Highway 20 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Nevada City crash.
