1 Seriously Injured in Nevada City Crash on Highway 20 at Chalk Bluff
NEVADA CITY, CA (September 3, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a head-on crash at Highway 20 and Chalk Bluff Road in Nevada City.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4 p.m.
CHP determined that a red Ford pickup truck and another vehicle collided head-on for an unknown reason in Nevada City. The two crashed on Highway 20 at the intersection of Chalk Bluff Road.
2 Vehicles Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at the time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 20 and Chalk Bluff Road to shut down for about an hour following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Nevada City crash.
