Major Injury Collision on State Route 49 (Golden Chain Highway) Sunday
Nevada City, CA (June 20, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident on State Route 49, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Authorities said a man riding a motorcycle collided with a passenger vehicle in the 29190 block of SR-29, also known as Golden Chain Highway. The make and model of the car involved in the crash remained unknown at this time.

Shortly after 2 p.m., firefighters and medical personnel arrived at the site. The CHP dispatch mentioned at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident. IT was not immediately confirmed whether the injured party was the motorcycle rider.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the motorcycle accident in Nevada City.
