Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Pleasant Valley Road Near Penn Valley
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (May 23, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Pleasant Valley Road near Penn Valley.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck on May 22 at about 7:43 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason near Penn Valley in Nevada County.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
CHP said the two crashed on Pleasant Valley Road near the South Yuba River State Park. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver stopped or if they ended up hurt following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of Pleasant Valley Road to shut down after the collision. The cause of the Penn Valley crash is still under investigation.
