Fatal Traffic Collision on Highway 20 at Bowman Lake Road Tuesday
Nevada, CA (June 8, 2021) – At least one person died following a car accident on State Route 20 in Nevada Tuesday evening, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Shortly before 6 p.m., CHP logged a traffic collision that occurred near Bowman Lake Road.
Initial records indicated a white SUV veered off the roadway for an unknown reason. The car came to a rest on a nearby vegetation site. Several motorists reportedly pulled over near the crash site and rendered aid to the occupants of the SUV.
At some point, the SUV burst in flames. The fire eventually consumed the whole vehicle, officials said.

Responding paramedics found at least one person with serious injuries. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the accident in Nevada happened.
