1 Killed, Several Injuries in Traffic Collision Near Cedar Boulevard Monday
Newark, CA (January 10, 2022) – One person died, and several others suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Saint Isabel Street Monday evening.
The East Bay Times News reported a solo-vehicle drifted off the roadway and slammed into an empty parked car. According to the article published online, the collision took place near Cedar Boulevard.
Shortly after 11:20 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found as many as four occupants in the disabled car.
Paramedics reportedly rushed one victim with severe injuries to the hospital. Sadly, the patient succumbed to their injuries and died.
Authorities added the other three parties, including the driver, sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. Medical personnel rendered aid to all the victims. After the evaluation, officials learned the 24-year-old driver was intoxicated at the time of the horrible crash.
Driver Arrested in Newark Deadly DUI Crash on Saint Isabel Street
Given that, police arrested the man on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into Santa Rita jail.
Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly DUI car crash on Saint Isabel Street.
