Newberry Springs crash 15 Freeway
1 Seriously Injured in Newberry Springs Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway Near Harvard
NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA (November 11, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Newberry Springs.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:13 p.m.
CHP said seven vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Newberry Springs. They crashed on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Harvard Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a red Toyota RAV4. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 15 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Newberry Springs crash is still under investigation.
