2 Injured in Newcastle Crash on Taylor Road Near Cemetery
NEWCASTLE CA (December 3, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Taylor Road near a cemetery in Newcastle.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 12:49 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Newcastle. They crashed at 656 Taylor Road near the intersection with Kentucky Greens Way.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the two cars as a red sedan and a silver SUV. Both obtained major damage due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Newcastle Rocklin Gold Hill Cemetery District. They found two people who sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took the patients to the Shasta Regional Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Taylor Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Newcastle crash is still under investigation.
