NEWHALL, California (April 26, 2016) — A car crashed into an Edison pole killing two men, Noah Murphy, 24, and Moises Hernandez, 33, and critically injuring a third man early Tuesday morning in the 23200 block of Sierra Highway, according to the Santa Clarita station of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
The fatal crash took place about 1 a.m. this morning when the driver veered off the roadway and careened into the pole at significant speed.
Paramedics responded to help those involved, but both Murphy and Hernandez died at the scene.
They transported the third victim to a local hospital where he is being treated for major injuries.
Police are investigating the crash and will determine whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
