6 Injured in Newhall Crash on Interstate 5 Near Calgrove Boulevard

SANTA CLARITA, CA (October 15, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 5 near Calgrove Boulevard in Newhall.

According to an article published by The Signal, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck on October 14 at about 9:28 p.m.

The incident happened when a white minivan collided with three other vehicles for an unknown reason in the Newhall community. The four crashed on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Calgrove Boulevard.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said one of the cars involved obtained major damage to its front-end upon impact.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of six people hurt. The patients sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the six victims to the hospital, where they listed a woman in critical condition. The report did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties.

Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Calgrove following the wreck. The cause of the Newhall crash is still under investigation.
