2 Injured in Newhall Car Crash on Sierra Highway Monday
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 31, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Sierra Highway in the Newhall community.
According to The Signal and Hometown Station, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:30 p.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Newhall. They crashed in the 23200 block of Sierra Highway.
Collision Near Memorial Park in Santa Clarita
One of the cars involved caught upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary.
They found two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Officials then listed one of the patients in critical condition. They did not release the names of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound lanes of Sierra Highway to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Newhall crash.
