Police Arrested Suspect Who Fled Fatal Bicycle Accident on Jamboree Road
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2022) — Newport Beach police arrested a woman who reportedly struck and killed a man riding a bicycle on Jamboree Road Sunday morning near Bay View Way.
The deadly crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11th, according to the Newport Beach Police Department. The victim suffered major injuries and died at the scene. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim as Randon William Cintron, 45, of Costa Mesa.

Meanwhile, authorities searched for the vehicle with a smashed windshield. Eventually, they located the suspect near Corona del Mar High School in the 2100 block of Eastbluff Drive, according to police and a report by City News Service.
Authorities arrested Adriana Rivera Bernal, 36, of Anaheim, and towed the vehicle for evidence. Police booked Adriana Bernal into the Orange County Jail. She is being held in lieu of over $1 million bail, according to County News Service.
