Homeless Man, 48, Killed in Hit-and-run Collision
POMONA, Calif. (July 29, 2021) — Nicasio Romero, 48, died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Mission Boulevard in Pomona.
The homeless man was struck by a motorist at La Mesa Street about 11:48 a.m. on Friday, July 23rd, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
Also, police responded to the scene where they located the victim suffering from major injuries, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Pedestrian Dies in Crash at Mission Boulevard and La Mesa Street
Despite efforts by paramedics, Nicasio Romero was pronounced dead at the scene of the pedestrian accident, police said. It’s unknown why he was in the roadway at the time or if he was in a marked crosswalk.
Meanwhile, police are on the lookout for the suspect’s vehicle, but the make, model and color has not been disclosed.
