Nicholas Cahill and Daniel Smith, Both 20, Killed in Jurupa Valley Car Accident
JURUPA VALLEY (October 24, 2018) – An alleged DUI crash killed four people at Van Buren Boulevard and 56th Street late Tuesday night, according to The Press Enterprise.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified two of the deceased victims as Nicholas Cahill and Daniel Smith. Both were 20-year-old Riverside residents.
As per the article, sheriff’s department said a man was driving north on Van Buren Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle as he was turning left onto 56th Street.

His car then entered the southbound lanes and collided with another vehicle with four occupants inside. The accident took place at about 11:45 p.m.
Deputies affirmed that all four people riding the same car, including Cahill and Smith, all succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorist who prompted the collision was taken to the hospital where he was listed in serious condition. George Ponce was believed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the tragic incident.
