
Motorcyclist, 71, Killed in Lake Elsinore Crash is Identified
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (July 9, 2024) — Nicholas Keim, 71, of Lake Elsinore, died in a motorcycle versus car accident Sunday morning near Lakeshore Drive and Avenue 6.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:20 a.m. on July 7th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s office press release.
The 71-year-old man riding the motorcycle collided with a car due to unknown circumstances. The rider was thrown off the bike and suffered major injuries.
Paramedics responded and despite their efforts to save his life, he died at the scene.
Deputies arrived to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car and found that the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike as a result of the impact.
Meanwhile, the driver in the car stopped and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station is handling the investigation into fault for the collision. Preliminary results indicate drugs and or alcohol were not contributing factors in the crash.
