Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 210 Freeway
Fontana, CA (February 10, 2023) – Nickolas Don James, a 27-year-old male, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on the Interstate 210 Freeway.
The Fontana Herald News reported James was walking for an unknown reason in the freeway lanes Tuesday evening, January 24. In the area near Alder Avenue, the driver of a passing 2016 Kia did not notice and struck the pedestrian. The horrible crash took place at approximately 9:50 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Fontana
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the man found lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division identified the deceased as Nickolas Don James.
No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal crash happened on 210 Freeway in Fontana.
