Nicole Parrott, 38, Killed in Clear Lake Head-On Crash on Highway 29
CLEAR LAKE, CA (October 19, 2021) – Nicole Parrott was killed after a wrong-way crash on Highway 29 in Clear Lake.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 38-year-old Kelseyville pregnant woman as the victim in the fatal wreck on Sunday night.
The incident began when Nicole Parrott was driving a 2019 Nissan north on Highway 29 in Clear Lake. At the same time, a 2019 Cadillac XTS was traveling south in the northbound lane.
The wrong-way driver, 34-year-old Lakeport resident Jesse Maldonado, then slammed head-on into the Nissan. The two cars crashed near Park Way.

Nicole Parrott ended up ejected from the Nissan as a result of the crash. The woman, her unborn child and Jesse Maldonado all died at the scene.
A 41-year-old man riding as a passenger in the Nissan sustained major injuries. A third occupant, a 16-year-old boy, survived with minor wounds.
Paramedics rushed both Kelseyville residents to the Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport for treatment. The report did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
The Press Democrat wrote that the accident took place on October 17 at about 8:05 p.m. Meanwhile, the cause of the Clear Lake crash is still under investigation.
