Teenager Badly Hurt in Collision Near Tefft Street Tuesday
Nipomo, CA (February 8, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred on Highway 101 Tuesday resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated two or more vehicles collided in the northbound side of US-101; in the area near the Tefft Street offramp. Shortly after 7:01 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the scene and found multiple vehicles with significant damage.
Preliminary investigation revealed an initial crash took place on the highway. After the incident, one occupant stepped out of the disabled car. An oncoming vehicle then struck the unidentified party.

Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the accident. After the evaluation, authorities mentioned a teenager sustained major internal injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim remained undisclosed, but officials mentioned their age–15-year-old.
Several factors surrounding the incident have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident on Highway 101 in Nipomo.
