Pedestrian Struck on Highway 101 after Two-vehicle Crash
NIPOMO, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2022) — A 15-year-old suffered major injuries in a Nipomo pedestrian accident on the northbound Highway 101 near the North Tefft Street off ramp.
The collision happened about 7:01 a.m. on Feb. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported two vehicles collided on Highway 101 and were exchanging information. The 15-year-old exited one of the vehicles and an oncoming vehicle struck the teenage on the highway. The person suffered major internal injuries in the pedestrian accident.
Paramedics responded to transport the injured teenager to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove a white Ford F-150 pickup truck from the scene.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Nipomo crash on Highway 101.
