Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Santa Maria Speedway Friday
Nipomo, CA (February 11, 2022) – A pedestrian accident occurred Friday on Highway 101, according to the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the northbound side of the highway in Nipomo. Primary reports mentioned the collision took place near the Santa Maria Speedway.

Shortly after 1:14 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics found the pedestrian with major injuries. The name of the victim, and their condition at this time have not been discussed thus far.
Authorities added a motorcycle rider pulled over near the crash site. However, it remained unclear if the rider contributed to the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the accident on Highway 101 in Nipomo.
