At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Death Valley Road Sunday
Nipton, CA (June 20, 2021) – A fatal car crash occurred on State Route 127, also known as Death Valley Road, Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a semi truck carrying fresh eggs collided head-on with a minivan. The horrible crash took place in the 1750 block of Highway 127 in Nipton. Officials mentioned the force from the impact caused the minivan to burst into flames.
Rescue teams arrived at the site shortly after 2:20 p.m. Emergency crews said they found people trapped in the minivan. Responding firefighters worked extensively to free the victims.

Shortly after the incident, authorities confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
