1 Killed in Nipton Crash on Interstate 15 Near Halloran Springs
NIPTON, CA (December 6, 2021) – A car crash killed at least one individual on the Interstate 15 in Nipton.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:44 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the Interstate 15 near Halloran Springs Road in Nipton.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a silver Nissan Sentra and a sedan. One of them rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They then confirmed that one person died as a result of the wreck.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Officers did not mention if any other party ended up hurt upon impact.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of the Interstate 15 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Nipton crash is still under investigation.
