Pickup truck crashes into big rig on I-15 Freeway

Nipton Fatal Crash Interstate 15 Freeway in San Bernardino County SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2021) — A Nipton fatal crash was reported Friday morning after a pickup rear-ended a semi-tractor trailer truck on the Interstate 15 Freeway.

The fatal crash happened about 6:27 a.m. on Feb. 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP reports the crash took place in the No. 3 lane of the freeway. It’s unknown how many people were in the pickup truck, but at least one of them died in the crash at the scene. The CHP removed the damaged vehicles.

The circumstances of the Nipton fatal crash are under investigation. Police investigating the crash will determine fault.
