1 Killed in Nipton Crash on Kelso Cima Road Near Cima Road
NIPTON, CA (November 15, 2021) – At least one was killed after a head-on crash on Kelso Cima Road in Nipton.
The California Highway Patrol said the tragic accident took place on Monday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 6:23 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Nipton. They crashed on Kelso Cima Road, about two miles south of Cima Road.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
CHP described the cars involved as a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck and a black Audi A6. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced Kelso Cima Road to shut down in both directions for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Nipton crash is still under investigation.
