At Least 1 Injured in Car accident on Interstate 15 Freeway Friday
Nipton, CA (May 17, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Barstow Freeway, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
On May 14, Friday, two vehicles collided in the 17440 block of I-15 Freeway in Nipton. Authorities briefly described a involved in the wreck as a white Honda Civic.
Medical personnel arrived at the crash site shortly after 5 a.m. Paramedics checked the conditions of all the parties at the scene, and later concluded one person suffered injuries as a result of the collision. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed thus far.

Meanwhile, investigators mentioned the driver of the second vehicle involved in the wreck fled the scene. The hit-and-run suspect sped away at an unknown direction after the crash.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run driver.
