Suspect Remains At Large
NIPTON, SAN BENARDINO COUNTY (April 3, 2016) – A hit and run crash left at least one person injured on South 15 Freeway Sunday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 6:24 p.m.
Preliminary record stated that the authorities responded to an emergency call requesting for help on the freeway just north of Cima Road off-ramp.
Upon arrival at the scene, they have located two vehicle involved in a wreck. The automobiles were described as a white Ford Mustang and a white Chevy sedan.
According to the CHP log, the Mustang was seen to have been recklessly driving prior to the smash. But it still remained under investigation on what actually caused the collision.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in at least one person suffering in injuries, as noted on the incident description by the CHP dispatch team.
Further, it was not clear whether one of the aforementioned vehicles was a suspect or both were victims. But it was mentioned in the CHP report that the suspect remained at large as the police officers were immediate to exit to Baker Boulevard and Halloran Summit Road to search for the felon.
A suspected vehicle of the felon was spotted on Halloran Summit Road, as per the CHP log. But no final information was confirmed by the officers on this matter.
