Major Injury Collision on Mojave (15) Freeway Tuesday
Nipton, CA (October 26, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Mojave Freeway.
2 Truck Accident in Nipton, October 26
On Tuesday morning, two trucks collided on the northbound lanes of the freeway in Nipton. First responders found at the scene a Penske truck and a semi truck. Officials said the force from the impact caused the Penske truck to careen towards the direction of the center divider. Meanwhile, the semi truck came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway.
Medical personnel arrived at the location shortly after 4 a.m.
According to the CHP dispatch, at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the truck accident in Nipton.
