2 Injured in Crash at Twentynine Palms Highway, Larrea Ave
TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2021) –Noela Vasquez, and David Carlisle, 52, both of Desert Hot Springs, were injured in a collision on Twentynine Palms Highway.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 9:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15th, according to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department.
David Carlisle was driving a green Toyota eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway. Police say he failed to stop for a red light. That’s when he collided with a white Ford Explorer SUV. The SUV’s driver was making a left turn onto the highway from northbound Larrea Avenue.
Meanwhile, the Toyota kept traveling until it struck a curb.
Both David Carlisle and his passenger, Noela Vasquez, became trapped in their vehicle. Firefighters responded and extricated both of them before they were transported to local hospitals.
The cause of the Twentynine Palms Highway crash remains under investigation.
