Woman, 50, Killed Norco Hit-and-Run Crash Near Hamner Avenue and 5th Street
NORCO, CA (July 10, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Hamner Avenue and 5th Street in Norco.
According to an article published by The Press Enterprise, the tragic accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision on July 9 at about 10:40 p.m.
The incident happened when a female pedestrian was walking east across Hamner Avenue near the intersection with 5th Street in Norco. At the same time, a vehicle was going south.
The sheriff’s department said for an unknown reason, the driver hit the 50-year-old woman. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found her left lying in the roadway.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. Officers found the car involved, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, in Corona.
Authorities forced the area of Hamner Avenue and 5th Street to shut down following the collision. The fatal Norco hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
