Deputy Norman Anpree Hit by Vehicle on Santa Ana Freeway Sunday
Los Angeles, CA (March 30, 2021) – Norman Anpree, a veteran deputy, suffered serious injuries following a traffic collision on Interstate 5 on March 28, Sunday.
The NBC Los Angeles reported 57-year-old Norman Anpree was driving home from work at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. When the motorist approached the area near northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway, a loose tire struck his vehicle.
Preliminary investigation revealed the deputy stopped after the incident. Then, Norman Anpree reportedly got out of his car to check on the situation. However, an oncoming vehicle failed to slow down to traffic and rear-ended he car of Norman Anpree. The force from the impact caused the vehicle to jump and hit the officer.
Shortly after 5:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site and rendered aid to Norman Anpree. An ambulance later rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment of major trauma.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned another driver struck the by detached wheel sadly died in the collision. Authorities identified the deceased as 35-year-old Jeffrey McKee.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
