Man Killed in Santa Ana Hit-and-Run Crash
SANTA ANA, Calif. (July 20, 2020) – Norman Kent, 81, of Garden Grove, died Friday night in a hit-and-run crash at Harbor Boulevard and McFadden Avenue in Santa Ana.
The crash took place about 9:25 p.m. on Friday, July 17 in Orange County, according to the Orange County Medical Examiner.
The victim was standing on the center median of McFadden Avenue near Harbor Boulevard when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.
Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene where they located the man left lying in the intersection of Harbor and McFadden.
Unfortunately, the man suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver who struck the man failed to stop and render aid to the man as required under California law. The suspect’s vehicle was described only as a white Jeep Cherokee with possible front-end damage after hitting the victim.
