Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in North Auburn Crash at Highway 49 and Dry Creek
NORTH AUBURN, CA (October 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Highway 49 and Dry Creek Road in North Auburn.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:14 p.m.
According to CHP, a black Toyota Camry and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in North Auburn. The two crashed on eastbound Highway 49 at the intersection with Dry Creek Road.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Regional Park Auburn Disc Golf. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the North Auburn crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 49 at Dry Creek to shut down after the incident.
