Driver Killed in Collision on State Route Highway 128 Monday
North Bay, CA (September 13, 2021) – One person died, and two others suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on State Route 128 Monday afternoon.
The KRON4 News reported a Jeep Liberty was traveling east on the highway at about 2 p.m. When the Jeep Liberty approached the area near La Franchi Road, the driver lost control and crossed through the westbound lanes.
According to the article published online, the Jeep came to a rest after slamming into a tree stump along Highway 128.
First responders found at the crash site the driver and a passenger people trapped in the wreckage. Officials mentioned the second passenger managed to self-extricate following the incident.
When paramedics arrived at the location, they sadly pronounced the driver dead. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
2 Passengers Hospitalized After Car Crash in North Bay, September 13
Authorities added the two passengers suffered minor and major injuries. Medical personnel transported both victims to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
The precise cause of the fatal car crash in North Bay have not been revealed thus far. Given that, investigators continue to work to determine exactly what happened here and why.
