Bicycle Rider Injured in North Highlands Accident on Madison Avenue
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (June 10, 2021) – A bicycle rider was injured after an accident on Madison Avenue in North Highlands.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the collision occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the crash at about 1:14 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicyclist for an unknown reason in North Highlands. The driver collided with the bicycle rider at 5221 Madison Avenue.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle Near Hemlock and Auburn
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene between Hemlock Street and Auburn Boulevard. They soon found the cyclist hurt a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the bicyclist. Officers forced a portion of Madison Avenue to close following the bicycle collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the North Highlands accident.
