Bicycle Rider Injured in North Highlands Crash at Watt Avenue and Karl Drive
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (June 26, 2021) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash at Watt Avenue and Karl Drive in North Highlands.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident on June 25 at about 8 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male bicycle rider for an unknown reason in North Highlands. The two collided at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Karl Drive.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near a recreation center. They found the cyclist who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries he sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Watt Avenue and Karl Drive to close following the collision. Authorities are still determining the cause of the North Highlands bicycle crash.
