2-Vehicle Major Injury Crash on Halloween
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2024) — A major injury crash in North Highlands happened Thursday on Elkhorn Boulevard and 34th Street.
The two-vehicle crash occurred early Halloween night between a white Mercedes SUV and a white GMC SUV, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the crash scene around 5:11 p.m. on Oct. 31st, the report said.
The airbags were deployed in the GMC and at least one person from the vehicles suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital.
It’s unknown what led to the crash, but investigators are working to determine fault.
They closed down a portion of Elkhorn Boulevard to investigate the North Highlands crash.
