1 North Highlands Hit-and-Run Crash at Walerga and Don Julio
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (October 29, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Walerga Road and Don Julio Boulevard in North Highlands.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck on October 27 shortly after 9 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a white sedan and another vehicle collided in North Highlands. The two crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of Walerga Road and Don Julio Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide
The sedan obtained moderate front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Allison Elementary School.
They found an occupant of the sedan hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the area of Walerga and Don Julio to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the North Highlands hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
